Lol, if I didn't know better I would say that those tires came of a used minivan in the desert.

But I got stuck because the ruts in the hole were ridiculously deep on either side, the side im in deeper is just the side I am tipping into.
Plus I've only got an open diff and that was when my lib was stock.

You're not kidding about the used minivan deal.

However, IMO, these things aren't worthy of road duty at all.

I dumped mine after 15000 miles and almost rearending a... minivan on a wet road. =P~

Haven't skidded since.

It's hard to find a rubber that works truely on all sort of terrain from mud to concrete without sacrificing traction or fuel economy.

I got 17 inch wheels, that adds more to it, that all I can live by is the wrangler HPs i got.

At first they were, then they started doing the same thing instead of carrying them. Funny part is, ill c if i can get the pics..There were rangers, full sizetrucks getting stuck and stalling. My lil jeep went through it like a charm

Well actually I can tell you the problem and it is present on all of yours as well.

The seal around the door terminates at the bottom of the door, dead center.

So the gap between the two ends of the seal will allow water to sneak through.

Everyone I know in the small offroad world I have been exposed to has cursed at DC when seeing this because its just plain stupid of them to do it.

I have considered re-sealing the door near the top to solve this problem, or even just putting a spot of silicone caulk in the bottom seal but I just never got around to any of it.

In the liberty's defense though, it was in the hole for like 5 minutes before we could get it out.

Those pictures have got to be from the mounds. =D> That place will cost ya. I just replaced the axle shaft and a hub on my LJ. BTW, after being it that deep of water, did you check your diff fluid? You probably have a little bit of water in there. You should come out to the Mounds on Thanksgiving morning. Theres going to be a ton of us out there.

hey skipperb, just a little question.. I noticed in your signature that you have a DAYSTAR lift and 265/75's. Iare those on 15 like it says or on stock 16 inch wheels? If its on the 16's what did you do so it wouldn´t rub? I want to get 265/75/16 for my libby as soon as I get the DAYSTAR lift on there. BTW nice pics! =D>

The 265/75/15 are 30.6 inches where 265/75/16 are 31.6 inches. Using that lift there may have been some slight fender trimming and pinch weld adjustment, but the 265/75/15 would fit. The 265/75/16's are going to be huge and you will risk having to do some "major" trimming, unless you want the trail to trim them for you....If your going with 16" go with the 265/70/16 which puts you at the same 30.6....You will still have to do some slight front end modification.
