:gr_grin:I like the look of the black painted flares, I have been thinking about painting all the plastic and the tires black since last year, now that I see it, I like the idea even more...and I think it will look nice on my red Libby.
summer project.

I really didn't want the black flared look - thought it'd look terrible so I wanted a dark grey again. I ended up plasti-dipping them late this fall and they actually look really good with the Jeep Green.

Looks great...love that color.

BTW...were your wheels "chrome clad"? I hear they are a harder to paint, i.e. keeping the paint on for any length of time.

What kind of wheel prep was required?

The wheels were painted aluminum so the prep was easy just a good sanding so the paint would stick.

Thanks...

I have the chrome clad plastic attached to aluminum with some kind of adhesive.

Everybody thinks they are chrome, but you can feel the plastic on the back edge and a plastic sound when you tap on them.

Probably best just to sell these and buy some others...

I have pics of the last three fabrications I've done in my "Fabrication" photo album.

1. Rocksliders
2. Jerrycan holders
3. Roof rack for friends TJ

I will be happy to answer any questions folks may have about any of the projects I have done or if you just want to bounce ideas off someone.

Awesome looking Jeep! I am not a big fan of the green color but it turned out nice and it makes you happy which is all that matters!

Still have it. It's been painted for two years now and to all the haters it's still not peeling
