Hi all,

I am looking to replace my rear lower control arms as I am experiencing torque steer when I press/depress the accelerator.

Would like to confirm a few things through my research on the forum.

1. Is that the correct part to replace?

2. What's the difference between these two parts? Did not find a reference on the forum for the former part number.
CBFZL270AA vs 52128866AA

Thank you.

Did you get the free dealer recall on them?
Mine are the original small framed ones, that I pressed in new bushings.

The newer style CBFZL270AA larger sided more square ones, you should be good with.

I don't live in the salt band so I don't qualify for the recall according to the information online.

I'll order the CBFs then.
Those come in a pair apparently. not too expensive either.

Thanks for the picture too!

Online did not see very good pics.
This diagram "B" seems to show that the sway bar threads exist for mounting the sway bar.

I'll have to compare your picture to what my KJ has.
I don't think i have a rear sway bar either.

The CBFs do come with new sway bar bolts.

i PM-ed that seller and they are only selling it as a single unit not a pair.

Does a bad rear boomerang cause the clunk sound when turning?
I'm wondering if I should replace both at the same time or just the LCA.

It's possible, can you have someone rock the Jeep around while you watch the tri-link?

what would i be looking for?
the clunk sound?
Thanks.

Be able to see it move ( ball joint area )
I've seen them bad enough that you could even just leave in gear and roll back and forth a bit and see movement in that area .

I did also. PM'd another and they also sell them as singles. Seems the pair goes for $70ish or so.

Im either replacing the bushings or the entire boomerang at the same time. The bushings have seen better days in mine.

Just replace the tri-link with a MOPAR unit
You'll be much happier in the long run

Currently using Moog LCA's and they've been good to me. That's what caused my swaying around when accelerating and decelerating on the highway. Like my Jeep was shaking its behind when I would touch/let go of the accelerator.
