Almost 3 years without mine, never could tell the difference between having it on and off, have towed with it on and off, both 1500 miles through the mountains(at least 4000lbs each time) and no difference. The rear swaybar on a KJ is kinda worthless since it only ties the 2 LCA's together and that's it,it is not mounted to the unibody preventing any type of rear body roll like the front swaybar does.It does give you a little better flex(READ---NOT MORE JUST BETTER,easier) in the rear when offroad with it off.

It does tie the control arms together. It can only make the suspension strong and reduce side to side motion.

i wish i could stiffen up the rear flex and let the front work a little more, front stays unmoved most of the time while the rear bobbles about down the trail, darn IFS!!!

Take the front sway bar off when offroad and it will flex a decent amount. You will get tons of rubbing with bigger tires though.
