It was there and working when I parked. Some 14 hours later it was gone. I was parked at the hospital parking garage (daughter was admitted with nasty stomach virus).

So I guess they aren't really that hard to find. Just nab one from another Liberty.

Anyone know if thay are available online for better than the stealer price?

You didnt find out by turning the wiper on did you?
I was always afraid that would happen and it would put a big scratch across the glass.

They stole the wiper frame, not the arm. Luckily I had to put something in the back, otherwise I would not have known and woulda scratched the glass.

Wiper comes off easily too. making me try to think of ways to "lock" it when I find a new one.

just a wiper blade...you can't get that at any supermarket like we do over here?

Nope. For some odd reason the auto parts stores do not have a listing for the rear wiper on a Jeep Liberty.

Give me a sec and I'll measure mine. ....

28 centimeters. thats aah .. 11 inches (?) so look for a wiper that fits a yugo..

I measured the "clean" path on teh glass from the missing wiper. It was 10 and 3/4" ..... smallest one at pep Boys was 12". I'll have to shop around, there's a Napa near me. Auto Zone is about 20 minutes from me too.

What a pain in the booooott.

I use mine from time to time. I dont leave it on once it stops raining like all the cool soccer moms do though. My window is still as crystal clear as it was the day I bought it.

Ill kick it on on the HW if alot of traffic is around. Thats about the only time I use it though.

I use it all the time. Whenever it's raining outside, the wiper is on. Those tires kick up water from the road on the rear window. Love the washer fluid nozzle.

Some people are worthless.....stealing a wiper blade.

When I was at the dealer the other day getting an oil filter I bit the bullet and asked for one thinking they were going to hose me. The list on it was $12. and the net was $10. on my bill so that's not worth my wasteing time and gas running all over creation looking for one in my opinion anyway.

It is still in the package..............part # 1-05066964AB

The rear wiper complete frame (not just the rubber refill) was $10? That is not terrible I guess.

But why are you buying oil filters from the stealer? You do not HAVE to use original equipment oil filters. Your warranty will not be void if you use name-brand oil filters.

Yes, the entire thing....frame and blade.

The Mopar oil filter is $6. I know I can use any brand filter I want.

I do get a discount and I drive by often enough so it is just convenient for me. I was just in there one day when the jeep was new and asked the parts guy for a discount and he gave it to me. I was getting the OEM skids. I got 10% off and they were shipped to them the next day from the warehouse (they pay shipping) and I picked them up the next day. Now I don't have to ask any more. If it's something he has I get it right away. If he has to order it I get it the next day. They get a parts order every day anyway from the warehouse so it just comes in with the parts order. He just gives me the discount (varies with the item - but not less than 10%) Originally all I did was ask for a discount and I didn't believe he actually was going to give it to me. I guess you don't know until you ask.

Back a number of years ago, I had a Toyota 1/4 pounder 4x4. I use to park it behind the garage once spring came and I could get my car out for the summer.
I came out one day to find the windshield gone.....I mean they stole the window right out of the truck. They did tuck the wipers back down and make things as neat as possible, I guess they hoped I wouldn't notice.

Now that is about as low as a person can go........

I just bought a 13" replacement blade for my Liberty....so it is possible to buy replacement blades. The only part you can't replace if stolen (unless you go to the dealership) is the clip that holds the blade to the wiper arm. Its crazy that they little clip is what makes the whole thing so expensive....
