Yes it's finally done.. Had a very hard time finding an international dealer, importing the kit, retrieving at the customs, installation, etc.. But it's over now and I'm deadly tired:) Thanks to Murphyman, Mrneen, Tommudd, Boiler, TBJ, Tony and all the people from Jeepkj and Lostjeeps, who answered all of my questions in endless patience. Thank you. I had definitely NOBODY to provide me the least bit of help here. Without your support, I couldn't have even started doing this.

This is what my 2" lift kit contains:
BDS front and rear coils,
BDS rear shocks,
Rancho RS5764 front shocks
Teraflex front bumpstops (1 missing, so not installed yet..)
Rear bumpstops (rubber mallots)

I've also got new rubber: Cooper Discoverer STT's;) (245/75/16)

The mechanic said he tried to do the Clevis lift, but could only pry it up about 1 mm. I'm not sure if that is true, or perhaps he didn't try at all though. Is there a noticabe clevis lift (without the conduit nuts) here?

I'm not sure how it's measured, but the distance from the wheel center point and fender edge is 51 cm. (20+ inch). What do you think?

Like HJ said, Looks good. Luvin' those Coopers too.

As for the clevis, it looks like about 1 conduit nut gap now, and you still have plenty of room for another 2 nuts of spacing/gap if you want.

Nice Rene

Thank you again for all your help and compliments:) As I've said, I could have NEVER done it without your help. Springs, shocks, bumpstops, clevis, tires, none of them..

This is a bit weird though....the spring shouldn't move that much to the rear....are the BDS rear coils the same size diameter on the bottom as they are on the top? Then they suck. Sorry...

I didn't have a chance to watch the installation (as I'm always working), I saw it when the wheel was taken off, it looked weird. Why is it like that?

BTW, I hear a loud thumping noise from the rear when I go over potholes or high bumps. As a bumpstop, you can see the trimmed and re-shaped rubber mallot below. And the yelow colored "thing" (I don't know what it is called) just above it. Are they too close? Otherwise what would cause that hitting noise? Here is a closer view to it:

I also wanted to ask about the amount of lift. I measured from the centre of the rim to the edge of the fender as shown below and it measures a little more than 20". Is this ok for a 2" lift, or is it less than expected?

Tony, I had to work and I couldn't open the boxes, see the parts and witness the installation process.

Rear shocks are the ones included in the 2" BDS lift kit. If they were too short, then how could they call this a ready made "kit" And the coil ends don't look like the same diameter. You can check them out here:

As for the mallets, yes the mechanics invented(!) and applied something more useful(!!!) than I told them :(

The upside down mallets and the weird rear coil position.. Will they do any harm or cause problems??

Looks good Resistance. I would go back and ask them to put the clevis up more. There is 0 (zero) clevis lift there. There is a little catch on the outside of the shock that the clevis should catch on and it is right up there on it. It seems some think that the clevis is supposed to rest on the bottom of the spring perch on the shock. I think you're supposed to use the little "catch". am I right or wrong? From the factory that is how they are, just as pictured and that is also how I did mine. As for the rear springs; are they upside down? it seems the top of the spring isn't centered. The smaller end is supposed to be on the top. Besides it just not being centered is all I can tell from the picture.

Anyway, on the outside it looks great. Those tires really are cool!!

Well done Resistance, another good looking Black Renengade.

Just to echo what the others have said.... those rear springs don't look right.

I can not get a clear view of the coil and the bumpstops, so I honestly don't know. I only have the picture below, taken while putting the new tires on.

The problem is, I guess the whole thing needs to be taken apart again to correct the rear coil position and shorten the mallets. Given the mechanics skills, this operation unfortunately takes a lot of time and costs a lot around here:( :( :(
