Well, I sold her today... $7k. A sad day as she was with me for almost 6 years and I put alot of work into her. The 140 miles a day was costing me too $ in gas and too much wear and tear. My son was most disappointed, but I re-assured him that hopefully a year or 2 will get us another one. Maybe an old Cj or something ...and that one will not have to be my daily driver.

Thanks to all who have helped on my various projects. I will still enjoy to read up on what is going on.

Sorry to hear....but once a Jeeper always a Jeeper.

My son cried back in 02 when we traded in our WJ, and I said "We'll get another Jeep!" And we got the KJ.... :D

Sorry you sold the KJ.

I enjoyed meeting you Greg and our wheeling trip also was fun. Stick around. I am sure you will be "Jeepsick" soon enough and get another.

I have had 4x4's my whole life, this was my 1st Jeep. I will get another..just need to save right now.. Yes, boring corrolla or civic (used) in my future, but it will save me $$ so I can get that Jeep I always wanted.

It was a good time Dave, and I will be back..

Shopping today, I will post what I get.. Need something by Monday, gotta get to work!

That is a nice one.. I honestly did not have them on my list, the mpg (city) is not as good as I would like, but really not that bad. I could maybe squeeze out another $1k, I am keeping my options open. Gotta just drive around, visit some dealers and see what it out there and on line.. Thanks for looking out, Just waiting for the wife to get home and we will be off, kids and all. They love going into all the cars.

My new ride

Well here is my new ride.... Should save me about $400 per month.. She is an 2004 Hyundai Accent, 60k miles, $5700.. I feel that is a fair deal, especially from a BMW dealership, they waived their $600 dealer which is rediculously high, but bimmer owners want perfection and need a lot of TLC. I should know, I bought a new 5 series from the same dealership 8 years ago.. (things were much better back then!!)

Hopefully after a year or so, things will stabilize at work, I will have saved some money and I can get back into a Jeep.

Hope things work out for you and we will be here for you

Thanks

140 Miles per day!? Geez... maybe my 80 isn't that bad after all!

We all know, as companies down size, they have the mentality that you are lucky to have a job and you will do whatever to keep it. I guess they are right. So, I must drive to many different locations throughout the day which is how I rack up all the miles. (not to mention they deleted our gas allowance. ) Just keeps getting better:disgust:
