Speedometer re-calibration help

I took my jeep to a local dealership to re calibrate my liberty for my larger tires. I run 265/70/16's and the revs per mile on those from what I have seen and also calculated mathematically is 659. I gave them this number and now since they have programmed it, it is off in the other direction.

Pre programming when my speedometer read 70 I was actually going about 73

Post programming when reading 80 I was going closer to 70.

They told me since I have a manual the option to program the pinion is not available to me so all that was calibrated was the BCM.

The odomoter seems accurate (took an 11 mile trip while using the gps) but the speedometer is worse now than it was before.

I am out 116 dollars if they cant make this right, as they went off the number I gave them of 659. I doubted myself at first, however after doing more research that number IS accurate.

Anyone know what could be going on? I appreciate the help.

So it was only 3 MPH off before?
Heck my 04 was 4 off when new with the stock tires !
I never had the re-cal done, since with 4.10s and the 265-75-16s I was about 4 off again
Haven't checked the 03 but know it was off about 3 or so before with stock tires, will wait until I install the 4.10s hopefully this week.
As far as what you paid and what you got I would be complaining BIG time for a refund or set back

I could see them having a fair case to make by pointing out that he got what he asked for. I definitely agree that they should have offered to roll it back to the previous setting. Mine (stock tires) has always read high by 3mph. I view that as speeding ticket insurance. The 10mph difference you are getting now makes the thing essentially useless and they ought to give you a do-over.

Well, pinion factor is what the speedo reads from, at least on the automatics. So being that they could only adjust the BCM, which pertains to the odometer only, they didn't really even deliver on what I asked for. If they can't do it, thats fine. But at this point I feel I have a good argument for a refund, as the work order states specifically I wanted a speedometer adjustment, which they were unable to perform.
