The local dealership stripped 3 of my O2 sensors taking them out and wanted to charge me to install a whole new exhaust system. Went down the road to an exhaust shop and had them weld over the holes and install new bungs right next to them. Cost me only $5 each plus they installed the 02 sensors I brought with me. Best $20 I ever spent.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Run the engine for 5-10mins then try and loosen it,wear long sleeves and heavy gloves as the exhaust will be hot.

If you can find one I'd highly recommend using a 7/8"(or 22mm) Snap On Flank Drive wrench and use the open end.

Didn't think of the open end of a wrench. I don't think I'm going to be able to get a Snap on but hopefully my dad has a craftsman sitting around. Probably not bent unfortunately.

I've changed all of mine out and did it like Troy mentioned.
Get it good and warm, and just use a wrench on them, twisted right out

What's the difference besides the 15 degree bend in the shaft? (Giggity)

That tool's pricey as hell! But, of course, I will buy it if it really IS necessary...

SOEX28, Wrench, Combination, Standard Length, FLANK DRIVE® PLUS, 7/8", 12-Point
The open end has specially placed "teeth" that bite into the fastener so it will not round off.

Flank Drive on top, regular on bottom.

I've had a 4' cheater pipe on my Flank Drive wrench's before and never rounded off what I was trying to loosen.I've completely deformed jams nuts(tie rod ends) that were seized before but never "rounded off" that jam nut.
