I took a 7 pin wire harness off of an 03 and put it on my 04. After plugging everything up I tested it out. The passenger side only parking lights stayed on constantly-even when I turned them off. So, I unplugged the harness and put it back to normal. Now the right side parking lights won't come on. This is for both the front and back. Did I kill a relay or a fuse maybe?? Is something different between 03 and 04? What am I missing here? This is a mopar wire harness that includes fuses and some sort of relay in it I guess for those who are familiar. I've never done this before, so I thought it would be pretty much unplug and plug-back-in and play, but something is a miss. Please help. I appreciate it. Thanks!!!

I did blow the 10 amp fuse for the right running lights. replaced fuse and they are back. I guess the question now is, why did the fuse blow when I hooked up the wire harness? My first guess would be that the wiring is different for the 04 from the 03. Are there different harnesses for the newer years.

don't have a good answer for you but...you could go to e-trailers web sight and do a search for an 03 than an 04 7-pin harness and see if they have the same e-trailer Part number...If not, they are probably different in some way...........

now I have another concern. I don't have the "supplemental wiring harness". is this required or is it optional? I DO NOT have an overhead console. Seems like a wire is wrong or something, like the constant power wire is hooked into the wire for the lights. would the absence of the other harness cause the fuse to blow?
