So I've been having problems with my climate control. On all settings i only get air out of the defrost. It will shut off and all speed setting work. Also both heat and air conditioning work. I have been researching and tinkering all day but I haven't found a solution.

So let me tell you what I've done so far. I started off searching through all the vacuum lines i could find. I couldn't find/hear any leaks. I found I do have suction up to the 'T' right before the check valve behind the glove box. The Check valve works fine. So I followed it to the control module. I have suction there. I switched it to recycle and followed the green line but behind the glove box and I didn't have any suction. So I figured it was the control module. I bought a new one and switched it out and I still have nothing.

Now I am just lost. What would be the next thing to check out? The blend door actuator? If so where is it located? Any help or useful diagrams would be helpful. Thanks

Check the actuators. Pull the panel off below the steering wheel it just snaps in then with the car running push down on the actuators and see if it moves easily. You should feel some resistance. If not odds are the actuator is bad and is leaking vacuum. Another thing you can check is the vacuum reservoir. It's on the right side of the dash. Pain to get to but you'll have to check that as well. Oh, check the vacuum lines at the fire wall as well. The t there likes to pop off
Also the blend door does not have anything to do with your issue. That only controls hot and cold. The only actuators that would cause an issue are the vacuum actuators. I've pulled the dash 5 times when I had my liberty. Once for heater core second for blend door and 2 other times for the same issue you have. What I ended up doing is disconnecting the vacuum limes from the control module and the actuators and check valve and vacuum reservoir. Plugged everything back in but before I plugged the actuators in I started it up, pushed the actuators in and pushed the vacuum lines back on and viola

Update

So after 6 hours of chasing vacuum lines and replacing the control module. Then coming here for more guidance, I found the problem. I didn't know about the actuator under the drivers side. Looked in there on my break and found the vacuum lines had fallen off and boom it works perfectly now. 6 hours of searching for a 5 second fix and I'm officially finished with my first vacuum problem. Thanks for all your help guys!

Glad it's all fixed! Loved my liberty when I had it. I moved on to a mustang gt but I still come here to help because I know every inch of that car.
