Unable to install Teraflex bump stops !!! Shoot

Was already worn out after cutting grass but decided to tackle installation of the Teraflex bumps stops that came today, on the front of the Jeep. I've installed OEM bump stops before ... piece of cake.

But these Teraflex stops just aren't as pliable or flexible as the original equipment ones. I can't get these Teraflex ones to go in. I tried silicone grease and using this water meter wrench for leverage. Just won't pop in.

I bought these stops off eBay and they are said to be for a 02-07 Liberty. Back inside, I checked the box they came in but there is no part number on the Teraflex box ... or maybe covered with a sticker or something.

So I'm calling it a day, gonna cook supper and try again tomorrow. Maybe I can find some tips and tricks and a video on these things or something. Thought about even jacking up the wheel and using the upper A arm to try and pop them in. If push comes to shove, might try that.

Been many years but I remember having a tough time - I think I put them in hot water but not sure - someone else will chime in..

I've just read about freezing them first .... with mixed results.
Read about using a shovel method for leverage and will try that first, tomorrow.

Start the rear part back up in and then 2X4 , shovel etc pry up and pop in
I've used soap, grease, KY Jelly etc to lube them some over the years
never couldn't get any of them in
with only an inch of lift they are going to be close

UPDATE: Went back out and gave the shovel method a try. Couldn't wait until tomorrow and wasn't going to let a stupid bump stop beat me LOL
Started the back side (inside toward Jeep) of the bump stop first, then used the back of the shovel head for contact point and the long fiberglass handle for leverage. Popped IN !!!
Could NOT have done it without the shovel. The stops popped in but took more leverage than expected.
And you're right @tommudd ... there was no room for a 2X4 ... unless I jacked the Jeep up and let the wheel hang. Thin shovel head profile was no problem.

I'm tackling this myself next week. For clarity; you are simply leveraging the shovel (upsidedown) against the tire to press the bumpstop upwards once the back half is seated..? thanks!

Exactly @Squamish_Steffen . I've installed original Mopar bump stops by hand but these Teraflex stops are much more rigid and absolutely required this kind of leverage to pop in ... at least on my KJ. I used some silicone grease, but Tom mentioned other lubricants that would work, to slick up the edges of the stop.
