The light under my dash on the driver's side (illuminates footwell area) is intermittently working. If I turn the bulb either way it comes back on. Either way I turn it though, I can't get it out, it just spins. What am I doing wrong? I'd like to replace the bulb, unless someone thinks there's a different issue.

Did you try pulling it with gloves on?

I cut my connector off (I have a Sport trim, so I had to find it first) for LED lights, so I'm not completely sure. :(

I'll try that. Could it be referred as a "Courtesy Lamp" in the FSM?

I believe it is actually. I've always referred to them as "Under Dash Courtesy Lights" myself.

Just be careful when you do pull it (especially if it's not meant to be pulled)! I pulled my license plate light bulb out once in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and instead it just shattered in my hand. Luckily, I didn't get sliced up TOO bad.

Figured it out...there's a nice page in the FSM that explains it. Kinda pushed the bulb in a bit, seems ok. If it goes out again I have the bulbs ready though.

They actually just pull straight out - no twisting or threads. If it's intermittent try bending one of the leads slightly outward to make better contact with the socket. The incandescent bulbs become HOT little suckers when they've been on a while and may distort the socket.

I switched mine to LED's so no worries about blistered fingertips when I have to replace them - 50,000 hours from now... :peace:

Those light fixtures are expensive. My Liberty Sport didn't come with them so I bought mine from a stealership for $30 each.
