We spent most of last week in the UP of Michigan before meeting up with Jayme & Matt in Nicolet:

Excellent - we saw some of these guys on the trails in Nicolet too. What are they... grouse, maybe? :shrug:

The UP is so cool. I haven't been up there in a couple of years. Spent some time at the Les Cheneaux Islands near Cedarville and Hessel last time up there. Then up to the Soo. Wish I had my Jeep with me. I use to go up to the UP every summer. Love all the falls.

Very nice pictures. A nice place to stay in the U.P is Bay Mills Casino and resort. It's in Brimley which is more or less due north of the bridge on the Lake Superior shore line. They have a nice casino and a great all you can eat buffet.
