Hi guys.

Just a quick question on the fan clutch. I have a 2004 kj 3.7 petrol. Mine packed up a while ago so I replaced it with a new one, and now that’s also packed up, after only a month or so. Could there be something wrong with the car causing the clutch to pack up? Or was it just a faulty part I bought?
Thanks.

What do you mean by packed up?
It stopped working. It wouldn’t engage the fan. So when looked into it, it wasn’t hardening/thickening (the viscous oil) up when the engine got hot so wasn’t driving the fan anymore.

This one is working fine so far. But if I ever have to replace I will remember and look into getting the Hayden brand. Thanks for the advice.

If your fan has been damaged & is out of balance it can cause the fan clutch to fail
