What do you think of the condition of this Ring and Pinion set?

I received these in the mail from a U.S. supplier who didn't use any protective material to ship the product.
That and there was a bolt for the ring gear missing.

I know that the damage seems superficial and rather insignificant and that the
Ring and Pinion are still usable, but the point is, the company is not willing to help me out here!

That is quite a bad testimony to that company's concern about their customers. I hope you weren't planning a big weekend project to put these in your KJ... :disgust:

That almost doesn't look like normal wear but poor handling of the parts in the warehouse. Did you pay with cash or a credit card? I can't believe the company you bought them from aren't supporting you.

Mine had a few nicks in them too before I had them installed. And they were packaged well, in styrofoam cutouts. I asked my installer about it, and he said that so long as there weren't any major gouges, they would be fine.

Still... not cool from a customer service aspect as to why your supplier isn't willing to work with you at least a little.
