I am so jealous of these posts. Gas is averaging at least $4.50. I got some at $4.43 the other day and did a happy dance, but everywhere else is between $4.49 and $4.85.

Welcome to paradise :)

Yeah, but you are on an island.

How much is marine fuel there, I am curious.

Yes it is true I'm on an island, everything is much more expensive here. It's not too bad. I haven't spent much time in the states so I really don't know any better.

As for the marine fuel, I honestly never knew there was a difference. My boyfriend and I have a little runabout and we just get regular 87 and put the oil in. There are fuel docks at the major marinas but I've never considered that it may be different.

Slightly North of the 49° th. Parallel... In HongC
Jen and I went for a drive on Thursday afternoon on a quest for lower priced gasoline.
Some 45 minutes and 37 miles later we found gas at $1.23.5 per litre!
Here locally in town the lowest octane is $1.49.4 per litre/$5.654 per U.S. Gallon-$6.79
per Imperial (Canadian) Gallon
It was worth the drive to save $0.25.5 per litre.
On a fill up of 65.934 litres, that's a savings of $16.81!
Going back on Saturday and going to top up and fill our
53 litre Flo N Go "Jerry" can.
It's supposed to reach a high of $1.75 per litre ($6.62 U.S./$7.95.5 CDN per Gallon) by this summer.
Here in Richmond that means at least $1.85.9 per litre. ($7.04 U.S.-$8.45 CDN per Gallon)
The most expensive fuel taxes and regular 81 octane in all of Canada.
A bunch of greedy F:favorites68:ers here!

Later today I'll add the prices for mid grade and premium gasoline.

Time for a Smart Car and 73 mpg!

Been pretty lucky here in southern MN. Been holding steady at $3.57/gal for 87 octane for the last month or so.

Here in SLC area, I've been driving to Riverton whenever I need to fill up because the stations there were in a price war keeping the fuel down to around $3.47 - unfortunately it seems to have just broken and the price went up 30 cents overnight. Eww. $3.69 about the best you can find around here now.

(All for 85 octane too - don't get the good 87 standard here. Bleh.)

start at $3.00
raise to $3.50
lower to $3.20
raise to $3.75
lower to $3.50

OUCH................

I won't complain any more. Just paid $4.05 a gallon which I thought was high so I guess it isn't compared to NZ. No moaning here for me I guess.

On Monday it was 3.89
Tuesday 3.93
Wednesday 3.65
Tomorrow who knows
They change the price everytime the wind blows
But mines topped off at the 3.65 and with the extra 5 gallon on the carrier
I'm good for the start of my trip :Bye:
