Although she loved her '98 Cherokee Sport, it was getting a little 'long in the tooth' for my wife. At ~165K miles the A/C was iffy, water pump was chirping and it was due for a few other service items as well... it was time. Ironically within two weeks of purchase, the 'new' 2005 Liberty needed a water pump (under warranty). We live in Pittsburgh (where it snows, ahh remember snow?), so 4WD is important. We have show dogs, she needs to be able to tote a couple of crates along with the occasional person or two to out-of-town dog shows.
One of the reasons she was drawn to the Liberty was that she "noticed quite a few of them on the road, so they *must* be good". So far she's very happy with her Liberty. I have yet to get a chance to drive it!
I have noticed a lot of them lately too (funny how that is), is there a model year and trim breakdown online anywhere? The more I look, the more permutations I see. Small fog lights in the grille, big fogs on bumper, big lights on the roof, Renegades with exposed wheelwell fasteners, Sport model, Freedom package, Limited, chrome front facia, different wheels, etc.
Sorry for the rambling post,
