What's the diff?

What exactly is the difference between the 45RFE and the 42RLE automatic transmission?
Please feel free to get as technical as possible.

well i was gonna give you links to the wiki which explained it all quite nicely but some jack hole moron screwed up the jeep liberty page and erased all the american automatic versions of the libby transmission cept the 45RLE. if you go back about 4 versions in the history you can dig your way down to the trannys and lern some stuff...

Yeah, unixxx and some other folks from over on LOST started that one. It's nice having all that information in one place as opposed to wading thru all the different forums.
