Always wondered whether those little machines had enough suction to get the water/soap back out of the seat.

The Little Green with the heated tank is awesome. Has lots of suction. You should have seen how bad the carpet in my '99 Safari was from a massive coolant leak in the rear heater core. That Little Green sucked it all up and turned the carpet tan again.

In fact, I need to use it on my Liberty...

I'm glad I have leather seats. When they get dirty I just go to town with a magic eraser and they're like new again.

This is why I love my leather...in every car I drive.

In the summer, if I remember to or feel like it, I put down a drop cover on the seat...the ones that just cover the butt and back portion but don't wrap around. Keeps me from getting burned as hell just sitting on it.

That said, to get " burned as hell" sitting on a leather seat....you'd need direct sunlight with closed windows and 120+ degree temps. I don't put the windows all the way up, always park facing away from the son, and it just doesn't get that hot here in WI.

Winter....well, that's what the heated seats are for. Heck, I use those year round to loosen up my back (especially on long car rides).

For me, no heated leather means no road trip. I'm only 26, but my back is so wrecked that I cannot handle the discomfort of the long drive.

My wife's 2006 Liberty Sport had the cloth that easily stained with the splash of water. My wife was sick over it. She always said she loves the Jeep except for the seats. So...

This past Christmas I gave her brand new leather seat skins that I ordered from the OEM supplier for Jeep dealerships to convert cloth to leather. I paid $680 for them and it took a couple weeks to install myself. What took so long was cleaning the original cloth seat skins before removing them so they could be sold clean and proper. They sold for $200 on ebay.

My wife absolutely loves her leather.

Purchased from Signature Seat Comfort in California. I searched to web but can't find them today.

Here are the new leather skins. I also added apolstery batting to firm up the front seat bases.

Hmmm...really like that last pic...might have to look into leather covers. Two dogs, road trips (i.e. fast food) and general grunge have taken their toll. Funny, when we bought the Heep, the seats were especially said to be stain proof/resistant. Not so, not even close. Like others have said, ours stain instantly. A good cleaning brings them back perfect, but not for long. Scotchgard doesn't last, so leather might be the next addition...I can add 3" extenders to the drivers seat rails while doing the install so I'm not driving on the steering wheel.
