I need to check the transmission fluid temperature sensor But where is it on the 2.8 diesel CRD liberty 2005 because nothing on the workshop manual and nobody in France knows it!!!!

I think it's in the solenoid pack inside the the transmission.

Thank you very much for this information, but are the parts accessible without dismantling the box and where do you do your checks?

I'm sorry, I don't know what values the sensors should give. As far as I know the temperature sensor is internal so it will require the gearbox to be drained and the solenoid pack removing, however I haven't had to work on one yet.
The RFE545 transmission is fitted to lots of other American cars, there should be information online if you Google it.
