Who has what lift kit in their KJ or KK?

If it has then disregard this thread/delete it. If there is no poll as to who uses what lift kit, how about we start one?

So who owns what lift kit in his or hers KJ or KK?
Did you add anything to your "Lift" or is it right out of the package and on to your Rig?


Seeing I'm starting this I'll go first.

When lift kit was brand new: Frankenlift, 16mm. of clevis lift = 32mm./ 1.259" additional lift.
Rear: OME rear coils with two extra All J polyurethane rear coil iso's




I tried to make a poll for this but I must be ******** due to being awake for the usual 72+ hour stint and something went wrong.

Could one of the Admin of Mods turn this into a poll please?
(Or change the forum so we can delete topics we Eff up on or edit polls, etc.)

OK, I'll go second ;-)

- Front: OME 927 HD springs, Bilstein shocks, JBA 1/4" top plate, 1 conduit nut (1/8 inch = 1/4 inch lift)
- Rear: OME 948 HD springs, Bilstein shocks for Dodge Dakota 4X4, 1 extra upper isolator (2 total), Wrangler Dana aluminum bumpstops

Measurements: front 22 1/4", rear 22 1/2" measured from center of hub to radius of fender flares. Plenty of clearance for 255/70-16 AT's.

Hey there,

I'm getting ready to switch out my current OME setup (OME947/N132 & OME925/NS130). It has been on under a year and is beating my KJ to death, as it feels like I'm all springs and no shocks. Bouncy as hell, no stability, and very hard bumps. I do not have any aftermarket weight on there, other than Mopar tow hooks and a Mopar hitch on the back. After numerous questions and advice on jeepforum.com, I will probably be ordering the following this week:

Front
OME 927 front springs
OME NS131 shocks (still wondering if I should order long shocks though)
JBA upper A-arms
TeraFlex Bump Stops
Strut spacer plate set

Rear
OME 948 springs
OME 132L shocks
JBA rear bump stops
Rear upper coil spring isolators

I'm a little nervous going with the HD setup, but it sounds like the ride will be awful (like it is now) if I don't.

Does anyone have any recommended places to call, that handles KJ lifts on a regular basis? I would like to make sure that this would be the best setup. I'm hoping to have more success on this second installation. My first purchase was recommended from the ARB techs, but unfortunately, it did not work out. I'm basically looking for some comfort and no hard/jarring bumps like I have right now.

You had to ask! I bow my head with shame when I say I have the Rough Country lift. Sometimes on the trails it sounds like my front end is gonna drop off. It does the job for now, but it is high on my list of stuff I want to replace (as soon as I get through my list of things I need to replace). So for now I'll just take things a little slower. I'm going to do a little more research next time, thanks for the list of manufacturers to look into. I find that it's hard to find parts for these things in Canada. Blaine shipping companies, here I come.

I put the 2.5 inch Rusty's lift on our 02 almost 2 years ago. We still love it, I just went out and measured and it is still sitting at 21 1/8 inches at all 4 corners. After I installed it and had it aligned it was 21 1/4, so far it has settled only 1/8 of an inch.
I did add the 1/4 inch top plates in the front, nothing extra in the rear.
We have only taken it off road twice and both times it was on some mild trails.

Front - OME 790 + Nitrocharger Sport (can't recall the number), Moog upper plate and JbA 1/4" spacers with Teraflex bumpstop;
Rear - OME 948 + Nitrocharger Sport and JbA bumpstop.

Been on 2 days - the ride is excellent - much better controlled than stock.

do OME sag? hells yes they do. Mine have sagged close to an inch in 2 years and 3 months.
My ranchos are still hanging in there. They are good shocks if you ask me. Too bad you can't get them anymore. The front is getting a little looser I think, but they do have 45K on them. They've lasted longer than the stock shocks so far.

I still want to make the front level at 22. I just need to add another 1/4 or clevis.

nothing extra and at 23.25 after almost 50,000 miles
Rear
Ironman springs with two extra upper iso
and one extra lower
Plus Monroe Sensatrac coilover shocks
was running full Ironman all around for a couple of weeks
Have also ran OME 927/948 with all 4 Ranchos and then all 4 OME shocks
Have ran 3/8 inch top plates and then later 1/4 inch top plates and other mixtures of parts
So next week already have some other things to try :happy175::happy175:
