So we had the dreaded regulator failure. I bought an AC Delco replacement and it went in smoothly, but the window control still doesn't work. So, I pulled out the regulator and hooked it up to a 12v battery. With that I can make it go up or down perfectly.
Next I grabbed a multimeter and measured the voltage coming out of the harness when pressing the Window up and down button. I read +11.5 and -11.5v. Sounds good right? But it's not working.
So next I grabbed a spare 12v accessory light bulb and connected that up. On my battery it lights up bright. On the Window harness, nothing!
I checked the fuses, but I can't find one which just controls the rear left Window (all others are functioning correctly).
Do you guys know if there is an individual fuse somewhere for each window? The 40amp under the hood is working fine. Could it be the switch? Which should I check the front one or the rear? Both work the rear right window with no issues.
How do you get into those switches? Is there a way to disassemble it from inside the console cubby?
I am stymied. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
