Lift problems

Got this jeep and know nothing about it other than it has a 2.5" lift, replacing all new front end parts and I can't seem to get the strut to compress like it should. Can't get the upper control arms on without the ballpoint resting agenst the coils, and the coils are hitting the body. Any input? Pictures below

What did the old upper arms look like? It may have had uprated arms fitted to clear, if so you can get rebuild kits for them.

They look factory from what I see besides a Grease fitting. I'm thinking the suspension "unloaded" almost like a leaf spring can do to a shackle, question is, how do I get these lower control arm angles back to usable lol

Place a jack stand under the lower control arm on the other side to keep it from tilting while you jack up the lower control arm you're trying to reattach. A pry bar in the coil pushing the upper control arm down can help get the nut on the ball joint too. If you still can't get it. Put a chain around the axle of the jack up to something solid on the Jeep so you can compress the spring without lifting the Jeep.

I can get the upper balljoint on and tight, that's not the problem, the problem is the upper arm presses up and pinches the upper ballpoint boot in the coil spring.

It looks like an RC 3.5 inch spacer.
It is full of inconveniences when it is fully extended.
I replaced it with one that doesn't have a long strut length.

At 1G, the ball joint boot separates from the spring.
You can just put the tires on it and lower it to the ground.

I agree.. that spacer is going to net you more than 2.5”. Aftermarket control arms are most likely needed, but it should (barely) clear the ball joint once it’s on the ground.

Your spring shouldn't be pinching anything, that in itself tells you they're toast. Unfortunately spacer lift come with more problems.

The spacer only measures out to 2". I have a stock parts jeep and the total lenth of the struts are only 2.5" difference between a stock strut. Going to throw it together tonight and drop it on its wheels to see if it will load the suspension the correct way

That spacer is for a 3.5 inch lift.
It has a height of 53mm, but the clevis set position is different from the stock, so it functions as a spacer of about 43mm, resulting in a lift of 86mm.
The car body will be lifted approximately twice as much as the spacer.
