    Probably just started spinning the piston shaft when it got somewhat tight, Im pretty sure that was my issue as well. Don't wait too long to check that.

    Make sure you got the front shock top nuts tightened to torque spec. Mine was making a clanging noise when I would hit a bump. I pulled the shock/spring back out and sure enough I had both sides too loose. Also make sure you torqued everything to spec with the full weight of the Jeep on the ground.

    Blew it back apart today. Sure enough, nut wasn't torqued to spec. It was allowing the dust cover to slap up and down against the lower washer when I hit a bump. Luckily had only driven it 20 miles or so before I caught it. Tightened It up using a crows foot and hex key this time. No more...

    Weird thing is, I tightened them to torque (30 ft lbs) or at least I thought I did. the dust cover is supposed to be snug at full droop, right? At any rate, gonna park it and pull it apart this weekend and check.

    Tightened everything to torque specs with the weight on it on the ground. Jacked the front up in the air so the suspension was at full sag and verified it was that. I took a screwdriver and was able to move the dust cover up and let it drop down, there was the jingle sound. I'm guessing I didn't...

    No the front. I'm talking about the 2 washers that come with the strut/shock. The instruction show to place one directly over the dust cover and the other goes on top of the stock mounting plate

    Most definitely will do them at them same time. No sense in tearing it apart twice. I've hit my allocated budget for now, so those and the rock rails are on my wish list. The Hula girl I think I can swing in a month or two.

    Lift is done! OME 927/948 springs. Bilsteins, JBA UCAs, Teraflex bumps and 1/4 top plate, Extra Iso in rear, ProComp ES9000 Nitros and 2 hockey pucks per side. Tires and alignment done last night. GIANT THANK YOU! for all the advice and knowlege from JeepKJ. Hmm...What to do next?:headbang:

    Bumpstop mod?

    While installing my JBA UCAs and the Teraflex bumpstops, I wondered if a flush style zerk that you use a needle tip with would work instead of notching the Bumpstop. Anyone try this? Tried searching the forums for this but no luck.

    Pounded down my pinch welds and some other prep work. Hoping to install my lift next weekend when I have more time.
