If its anywhere near as bad as mine was, crawl under the Jeep, grab the rear drive shaft and try to rotate it (With the jeep in park, all wheels on the ground) If it clunks over or has any movement, the U-joint is bad.
Can anyone send me the link to a book that has a breakdown of part #'s for the liberty? I've got an 07 I need a new fuel filler neck hose for. I tried to install the valve to fix the fuel burp and broke off the flapper door.
Also not interested in spending $300 on complete neck.
They are called "Thread Measuring Gauges" and here's an example of one - https://www.grainger.com/product/GRAINGER-APPROVED-Thread-Measuring-Gauge-1TU58
I'm not saying thats the only place you can buy them, but thats what they're called. I bought mine from a vendor here at work.
Most hardware stores have the Thread tester racks right in the hardware department - Take another coil bolt with you and see if it'll tell you what it is.
One of these - If I'm understanding OP's question correctly
(Btw I HIGHLY recommend buying these for home shop use.)
I did a slew of automotive work and cleaning this weekend. Up first was my 01 F150, needed a new thermostat and a coolant flush, then oil change and tire rotation. then washed exterior and detailed interior.
Later in the day was the girlfriends black KJ, it also got cleaned inside and out. Then...
sounds like you burned up your alternator. I've done the same on my pickup truck. Smelled like h-ell, lights dimmed and battery light came on the dash.
I may be seeing it wrong, but it looks like the 4 bolts did their job. They held the rear yoke to the flan g e. It looks like the rear pinion just sheared off. seems to be a pinion issue not a bolt issue?
EDIT - Why is flan,ge a bad word?
Very easy to replace the water pump, especially of you have electronic cooling fan. Slip belt off, unbolt old pump, bolt new one in and re-attach/bleed everything.
If possible try to use a pump that has a metal impeller, the plastic ones are sometimes prone to cracking.
I used a Gates #43263M...
Finally got around to assembling my front springs. Took them all the way to a buddy's shop in WV that he works for. They got one of them beefy OTC wall mount compressors, got em together without an issue.
Next is to buy the JBA arms and make the relocation brackets for the rear axle. Its an 07.
I had the same issue you are having now, and pretty much the same results. I had a shudder, added a tube of the fix, it helped slightly, but in the end I had to do a full rebuild.
Dropped a new AGM battery in the girlfriends jeep over the weekend. New radiator and coolant as well. Old battery wasn't dead or nothin, it was just a budget battery we got when we first got the Jeep, like $70 at Tractor Supply. Wanted AGM though due to the cold weather around here and the fact...
After hooking up the scan tool and watching the live data, at operating speeds the temp wouldn't get above 203-205. At idle it would get to 217 then drop back down to 205 when the fan kicked on.
So overall I think the radiator replacement was a success, and there is no air in the system.
Thank...
