I have the same leak and I've replaced nearly everything. Although I'm not using as much oil as you are.
Valve covers 2x each, front seal, rear seal while my trans was out...trans shop told me it was moist but not bad, and oil pressure unit which I'm still suspicious of because I used a cheap...
Yes you'll get hyperflash, and no it won't cause problems. No matter what bulb you replace, it'll hyperflash. The power draw is too low. Resistors are very easy to wire and cheap. I wired my rears up and they work great!
Yep I have a slow leak somewhere. Haven't been able to pinpoint it though. Air gets in, ATF gets bubbly/foamy, and the pump SCREAMS. Really freaking loud. It's gotten worse every winter for the past few years.
I've replaced the rack and all o-rings and seals. The only thing left is the pump.
If you're not concerned about wear or driveability, just go with a lunchbox. It'll be much better than welded gears. But hey...it's your cash and you seem to know the pluses and minuses.
Seal was a hell of a time. Had to use a 3 claw puller for it. I was actually able to break apart the bearing and pull it out in pieces before the seal came.
I'm definitely going with end links. Check the bolts. For some reason, my bolts got messed up (stretched out maybe?). It was to the point where I could wiggle the links by hand when the weight of the Jeep was on the ground. Yet I couldn't tighten them. Replaced the bolts (and the links) and no...
I'll answer the question instead of providing my opinion. (Honestly really disappointed with how some of our more senior members are handling this. Nice job guys.)
No, there is nothing stock. You can use something like plasti-dip for both the lights and the door. Can remove it if you don't like...
Speaking of Pathfinder...
A while back I posted about seeing all sorts of vehicles missing lugnuts here in my city. Well finally I got a good laugh out of it!
Don't worry. Nobody was hurt. What I don't get, was how he drove a full city block away from where his wheel and drum were sitting!!!!
Depends on the shock. At full stuff, he may have an inch or two left before the shock bottoms out. Or not. I don't know the specs on those shocks nor how short they stuffed to. I see what everyone is saying, and everyone is right in one way or another.
1aauto actually has the whole assembly for like 60-70 bucks with the upgraded bracket.
You can get the pair for under $100.

Thanks for the info. What are "non-carb" compliant cats? Also I was under the impression (because I haven't gotten under the Jeep to look as of recent) that the Cats and the Y-pipe are all in one. Am I incorrect? I can't find a diagram for the '03+ system.
Hi All!
Did some searching but couldn't find the exact information that I was looking for. I'm going to need catalytic converters soon. Not sure exactly how soon, but codes have been pending for a little while. What exactly are my options here? I read a single different review on Walkers...
Hey guys. I'm about to do this again. Unfortunately the gasket that came with the new part is trashed and I don't have a lot of time. Anyone ever use rtv as a gasket on the rear dust cover instead of the cardboard gasket?
I don't agree. Solid axles work way better off road than IFS. Can it work for some? Yeah. But the difference is astounding on a real trail.
Also at this point in the great white North, I find it near impossible to find a KJ without some semblance of rust on the doors or body. I know the XJ...
