They did that across multiple platforms; LX cars with the Mercedes WA580 (NAG1) trans didn't come with dipsticks (designed to not have one sitting in it apparently) nor do the modern ZF transmissions if I recall correctly. Because the fluid fill is temp based they try to force you to take it to...
If you have rear defrost (which you do, they all do) then it is plug and play. Like LibertyTC said, find OEM ones with the heated symbol on them. Easy peasy swap. Found the ones I used on eBay years back. You might actually find some in a junkyard now.
These are really silly questions to ask me as 1) I have never seen a new I6 in person and 2) no one so far as I know has attempted to put one in a KJ. The problem you would have here is trying to integrate the much later generation CAN PCM into your much older PCI bus vehicle. This would...
Overseas yours may have been built differently. US domestic models either got a single electric fan or (as mentioned) low profile electric in concert with a plastic clutch fan.
I think I still have these parts laying around from a swap I didn't get the chance to do (I hate throwing away good...
Old yes, but I've seen worse than 10 yrs lol. It is technically possible, Uconnect was available as an option with GPS equipped Rams as early as 2004, which uses the same PCI bus setup. There used to be a kit...
If you're trying to put in a MyGig, it isn't a double DIN and it won't talk to the vehicle properly (if at all, CAN to PCI). This was done a long time ago, but dude had the know how to build a translator box: https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/my-kj-mygig-rer-multimedia-system-install-project.39076/
Heat is a PITA but the power function is easy, I did this to a 2004. Tap off the power and ground from the driver's side (it's there even if the seat base is manual) and run under the carpet to the passenger side. Just need a circuit breaker to energize the circuit. There's a pretty good...
Almost every US vehicle since the late 90's automatically runs the compressor in defrost mode for that very reason. The 2004 HVAC module in the dash has a button but that isn't going to stop the compressor from being used in defrost mode, that's just for when you have it in vent mode (outside...
Very first slide says what it is lol....02 to early 03 got the RFE behind the 3.7, then they cheaped out and put the 42RLE behind all the gas engines. The RFE was the only one strong enough for the CRD's torque (the CRD makes almost as much torque as the same year 5.7 hemi).
Flat filter (should come with a new seal) is the suction filter and the canister (spin-on) is the return filter. All RFE's to this day (some 6.4 Rams still use them) still use this setup.
No lol. The idiot light is simply that. The sending unit senses the existence of pressure but not how much. You could tee in an actual proper sending unit and run wires to a gauge if you wanted; this has been done in Rams for years.
