I Used 2x2x1/4 tube to slide in to "frame" and stick welded them. Then added another piece of tube on top of them to raise mounting plate height. Drilled some holes for grade 8 1/2in bolts to hold plate on. Plate came from Harbor Freight,$35 I think. Used a 12,500lbs winch from Tuff Stuff...
OP,I know you do not believe the Rev.,though he is telling the straight of it. Check through the 1000+ threads on this very subject. Many have used the spacers just to swap out to springs and shocks shortly afterward. Save some time,spend your money once,do it right.
If the leak is at hose end where it goes into pump or rack,I would replace "O" ring first. NAPA has the right size,can not recall it off the top of my head.
I used an Optima 34/78 , changed ends on wires to ring type,attached to the side terminals.Used the posts for winch cable attachment. Remove the tray and trim edge next to inner fender.

RadiatorBarn.com has sold to keystone something or another. I guess these will be same mfg.
