    Flat Tires Anyone?

Probably shouldn't say (Murphy has good ears), but in my 41 plus years of driving, I've never gotten a flat tire. A slow leak yeah, but not a single leave you on the side of the road flat.

    Fault Codes

At least you now know it's not the plug, and not the coil, unless all 4 of the test coils are bad. You're left with not getting power to the coil, did you check the coil harness yet?

    Fault Codes

And yet, here you are having ignition issues with yours. The recommended copper plugs are tried and true. Others have had running issues with their Liberty when not using copper plugs, which is why I mentioned them.

    Fault Codes

And that's why I asked, suspected the wrong plug(s) might be the culprit. Want to take those out of the equation.

    Fault Codes

That (ignition coil circuit) code has nothing to do with fuel delivery, don't bother messing with the injector etc. The likely causes are a bad spark plug, coil, a broken or shorted out (grounded) wire in the #4 coil harness, or a poor connection with that harness. Look at a wiring schematic...

    2006 Liberty Sport Overhaul

You can't...well you could, but you would lose that case and end up paying both sides legal fees. The owner on title didn't sell the car to you. He sold it to the guy you bought it from, with full disclosure of the problems. The guy you bought it from is the one who scammed you.

    Steering wheel removal

I don't remember what year yours is. If it's an 02-03, has it been taken in yet for the airbag recall?

    Possible Recall 2002-2007?

Or, have you looked into a tow dolly?

Just wondering if this is normal

You didn't really think the 4-link and rear u-joints was going to make the front axle excessive slop and clunking noise go away, did you?

What does everyone use for rust prevention?

That's all well and good, but once we who develop blistering rockers before we expected to, it's too late. Wax or any other routing preventative maintenance doesn't go through the paint and metal to protect from the back side. In similar climate areas, it's hit & miss where some get the rust and...

Rough feel in steering after driving

I've always used Moog over the years and never had anything fail or wear prematurely. My most recent (last month) was the d.s. outer tie rod end, way too soon for longevity feedback. On rockauto, sometimes you see a couple different grades of the same part by the same manufacturer. Get the...

What does everyone use for rust prevention?

My rocker panels are rusting from the inside out, no amount of washing or waxing would have saved them. My "rust prevention" is going to involve some cutting and grinding and welding and grinding and filling and painting.

    HOW TO: Steering rack replacement

That was an incorrect word they used, who the hell is the author of that write up? What you want is a flare nut wrench. A flange wrench is something totally different and unrelated to this project.

Rough feel in steering after driving

When I raise the front, I put the jack under the lower control arm, which keeps the weight of the Jeep on the suspension.

Rough feel in steering after driving

Jack one wheel at a time off the ground, grab the tire at the 9 and 3 o'clock position, and try to rock the wheel back and forth. If you feel/see any movement, watch your inner and outer tie rod ends while rocking the wheel.

What did you do to your jeep today?

    Ditto, kiddo.

Ouch...(not sure what else to say)

I didn't know about the overheating and the running of coolant in the oil, that's a big uh-oh. Did you try turning the engine over by hand? Remove the spark plugs to make it easier if you need to. If a bearing spun, it will be more difficult to turn her over. If it's severe enough, you might not...

Ouch...(not sure what else to say)

Your stuck engine going to a slow spin start up, then the clunking, knocking and squealing, is a classic description of a rod knock/spun bearing. I hope I'm wrong, here's to hoping that's not what it is.
