Jeep hints at the Obese Second Cousin of the Liberty
I still want a Scrambler re-introduction. Take the Gladiator and remove the rear two doors, but leave a little space for storage behind the seats. Toss on a 5ft box, make a Willys package and keep it under $40k. The only newer Jeep I would buy at this point would be a 2019+ Cherokee...- Jo6pak

Looking good, although unmatched spare is making my OCD twitch. LoL I took the WK2 out to scout some duck hunting spots. It's been a really warm fall, but I'm amazed that none of the northern birds are even starting to come through yet. Had to go through some sketchy muddy sections of track...- Jo6pak

Tom, I think you'll love the Generals. I put a set on my WK2 about 6 weeks ago. Had them in the muck and sand getting out to duck hunting and fishing spots. Recovery Gear Storage
Looks good Prof. about a year ago, I expanded my "get home bag" into a small backpack. Firestarter, bundle, lighters, flashlight, batteries, knife, multitool, MRE, water bottle with purification filter, poncho/shelter half, expanded first-aid kit, etc.- Jo6pak

What did you do to your jeep today?
Put a boat on top of it. Ran down to Cabela's a picked up an Ascend H10 hybrid canoe/kayak for fishing/waterfowl hunting. Small, but light enough to easily lift onto Jeep and small enough to store in my small garage without kicking the cycle or Jeep outside.- Jo6pak

Recovery Trax. Attach a long length or paracord or rope to them. Then when you get out of the snowbank or mud pit; you can recover them easier.- Jo6pak

I drove an Xtera when shopping for my KJ replacement. It drove a lot more like an old truck than the KJ. Drove it to work. Yes, I live about 2 blocks from work, but it was -19 (without the windchill) when I went in this morning. And just to make it worth it, I went to Kwik Trip for coffee (so, technically, I drove about 1.5 miles to work....which is 2 blocks away....don't judge me)- Jo6pak

Discovered the washer fluid was frozen. Checked the bottle in the garage; It's slushy- Doesn't have a rating on it. Guess I should have looked closer when I bought it. But it begs the question, why even sell this in Wisconsin at all???:confused:- Jo6pak

Put the roof crossbars in the back. I leave them off the Jeep when not needed because they are LOUD! Going to look at Kayaks tomorrow; probably won't buy one immediately, but just in case...I figured I would bring them and install them if necessary- Jo6pak

My observations over the past dozen or so years is that the Subarus (Crosstrek, Outback, Forester) are the new go-to "light duty Jeeplike vehicles" Years ago when i pulled into Parks, hiking trails, turnouts, etc. it would be XJs, KJs, 4-Runners, Isuzu Troopers, and a Wrangler here and there...- Jo6pak
