LCA snapped in half
I dont remember things like I use to, but Ive never seen someone snap a lower control arm on a KJ. Its amazing you made it home and it didnt completely break. Thats cast iron I do believe, which makes it even more surprising.- JeepJeepster

Its a vacuum actuator and it will be closed when you have the position knob on recirculate and will be open (pulling air from outside) on all other positions.- JeepJeepster

Emergency urgency question regarding rear end swap on a 2002 KJ
Assuming they are both v6's, they should both have 3.73 gears. Some will say you need to change the proportioning valve since youre going from drum to disc brakes...- JeepJeepster

Rad cap or coolant reservoir cap????
Probably doesn't matter as long as it seals and its the same psi. Mopar started using the plastic cap quite awhile ago.- JeepJeepster

You can but the Curt ball mount like I have on ebay. It helps having it extended out a bit more but it will make the rear end squat a bit more. I have air bags, so its not an issue. I also pulled the Jeep with the camper on the Cat scales, Im right at the rear axle max weight...- JeepJeepster

It has the Mopar recall hitch and a 4" drop Curt ball mount. It is a bit longer at 10.25" center hole to center hole. Im not interested in cutting a hole in the cargo area. Some Libertys had an access panel from the factory, but they removed it on the 2004 Libertys.- JeepJeepster

I've always thought the Liberty got more hate than it should, and its certainly more of a Jeep than anything they make now days (besides the wrangler). I'm not aware of any XJ's that have a 5x5 lug spacing. If you decide to buy new gears, I went with Nitro gears and I dont believe I would recommend them. Rust from the inside
Take that cover off the rocker, I'd say they have holes in them. I washed my KJ OFTEN and never let salt sit on it, my rockers still have rust. If I had known it was an issue, I would have coated the inside of the rockers the day it rolled off the lot. The WJ's of that era suffer the same...- JeepJeepster

steering liquid cooler
It came on KJ's if it had the towing package or offroad package. Whether or not it was a limited or not didnt matter. The cooler is on the return line, so no need to have anything fabricated. You can use any rubber hose that will resist power steering fluid.- JeepJeepster

I believe Moly is just part of the oils additive package, I wouldn't worry about it. Not sure about the magnesium. A/C starts cold then gets warmer
Without properly diagnosing it, were just taking guesses. You need to have a set of gauges to properly check the pressures and even then, its best to evac the system to see if it has/had the correct amount of refrigerant in it.
