Anyway, the KJ lives to fight another day - or does it?

RH side is passenger's, you mentioned that axle got replaced. Since the front diff is set to the drivers side, there's a shaft that entends the passenger side to meet up to the differential housing, that's what people are referring to the intermediate shaft.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Mig is going to be the easiest to get things going (the ol metal hot glue gun, haha!) When dialed right and a spool gun, even capable of aluminum with just a dc mig. Imo though, don't get a mig for plans for aluminum, by the time you invest in the extras you'll still have a narrow range of...

Some folks are impressed at variable timing, wait till they hear Johnny's working on variable bump stops! ;)

What did you do to your jeep today?

One thing to keep in mind that I read up on when it was time to replace mine, aftermarket and original equipment don't seem to play well when it comes to sensors. I ended up replacing hub and sensor together with a china aftermarket one. I normally don't like going china, but usa isn't the...

    Moment of truth

Discovering the front diff bearing caps were cracked was one of the first immediate projects on mine a little over a year ago (shortly after I got it), very similar experiences. -ball joint nuts were on so tight, even with oil I had to get a wrench on the end of a wrench for enough torque to...

What did you do to your jeep today?

This really applies to where I am at in FL, if you don't personally know the shop (sometimes even if you do lol) always check the work!

What did you do to your jeep today?

I would say so! I hope magnaflow's quality is as good as it was when I bought for my vehicles in the past. I bought a mbrp catback for my tj, and their no details stainless steel was made from what must of been 400 series, and started to get surface rust within a couple months. The fitment was...

    Testing, testing, testing

In the future if you have to change the hub/wheel bearing with those E-torx bolts or any other stubborn fastener/nut, if you haven't been using any penetrating oil it's well worth it. If it's hard to order or get some in your area, some atf and a spirit/thinner mix works too. Bonus if using...

About to buy Jeep Liberty 2007 Limited 2/4wd...need advice on what to check when I see it

My advice will be more general as I've only had my kj a little over a year. Some of my advice isn't major stuff, but can help talk costs down even further. Check the smell of the fluids on dipsticks, make sure nothing smells burnt, or seems out of place. These have I believe iron blocks and...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Oddly enough, these 07's seem to recommend 5w-20, must of been one of those wonderful last minute changes lol. With summer coming up, I'll be running 30 though

Max tire size on 3" lift

My tires were all shot when I bought mine last year, I had wheel adapters from my tj and got some 16" stockers with great tires from the 07+ wranglers for next to nothing just to get back to work. For me I don't like having to worry about the 20 extra lugs coming loose, the loctite cleaning when...

Kj rear brake line extension needed?

Maybe what some did on lost jeeps was unnecessary? If it is only one, I'd change the link on the site here to reflect only 1 bracket needed, to help those who search for it later on. https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/brake-line-relocation-bracket.45500/ I won't sweat it either way, when the lift...

    Passenger Floor Wet - Solved

I had to make the fix on one of my TJ's. We had a 3 week old kitchenaid fridge that the "repair" people sent couldn't fix, so they gave us several bags of repair parts, one of the tubes fit perfect on the TJ's drain and even had a 45º at the end. May of been one of the only jeeps running...

Kj rear brake line extension needed?

I haven't done it with mine as I'm not lifted yet, but I believe I remember reading that the 06-07's will need two brackets made, as either abs/brake distribution blocks are different than the previous years, correct?

Just got on here, seems awesome but I have a question.

I've used ospho, and corroseal, both are great. Corroseal seems to be thicker viscosity which I liked about it over the ospho, closer to milk/cream as opposed to water like ospho. I ran out of my corroseal and just have ospho, but plan to pick up more corroseal as both are handy in certain...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Looks nice, and i'm sure a good improvement at night! For some the oxidation comes back in a year or so depending the uv exposure, and they dismiss the idea that restoring headlights can work well long term. If yours ends up coming back quicker than you'd like, try buying some 3m wet or dry...

Remove Moog Ball Joint - HELP!

I haven't had to remove a ball joint that way yet, but i'd say it would give it a stable foundation, where more of the impact energy is transferred to the ball joint and not lost traveling through the lca. Like a good stable base an anvil mounted to, vs just having it sitting on a bench freely.

OME lift kit - which control arms needed?

For me the tougher part on searching for fitment, both here and lost jeeps, is very few I've seen that posted success with 15" alloys didn't share many or any photos of them. From what I've read a lot of 15" alloys are either contacting the brakes or tierod/suspension when they don't fit, not a...

Can I put this on my KJ.

Unfortunately, no, all the suspension components will be different between the two.

    Alternator & Serpentine belt replacement.

The pulleys sound like they are in nice shape, and I hear ya on that where they all check out great then the unexpected happens, and yep in the worst time and place haha! I'm in palm beach county, boynton beach. Drove out to Tampa to get my liberty!
