I'm giving up on this. About 50%+ of the time there is a rhythmic click going on in the background when using the ipod. Very frustrating. I've decided to take another tact, and I'm getting a new head unit - Alpine iDA-X001 -- its an ipod-ready head unit from Alpine. The only sad part...- BluPhant

I'll get on it soon. After using this for a little bit I've found that I really should have done the two hot wire setup rather than using the cig lighter plug -- (long story) ... when you use two hot wires (one constant one ignition switched) it saves settings. Got a bit of an early start, and mounted the screen last night. Here's what it looks like. I'm re-thinking control knob position, and may go with the same location in the first picture instead of slightly forward on the shifter trim. -Blu- BluPhant

Thanks for the info mr titan. A pillar wont work well for me, because both driver and passenger need to be able to see it. I have XM radio already, with a Pro-Clip bracket installed. Behind the drivers kick panel I already have a (hidden) cig lighter plug for the XM (its not 12v to the unit...- BluPhant

I dont know the specifics, maybe it was '05, but the airbag sensor did change between model years. If your new seats came from an older vehicle, you might have to snag the sensors out of the seats that came w/ the kj and replace the ones that came w/ your seats. Also, the airbag light will... -

hey- I've not heard of anyone who has bought the same seats I installed retail, the prices would be cost-prohibitive, even in the states. From DCX, the seats would have been thousands of dollars. I'd look at local junkyards to find a set... -Blu -
towing a u-haul?
I picked up some furniture a couple years ago with a 6x12 trailer, and had no problems at highway speeds. I dont think I went much above 60, maybe 65... but it was fine. Remember tho, that the jeep has a really narrow turning radius :) -Blu- BluPhant

OK got home today to find my freshly installed sticker was all but gone. The letters are all over the back windshield. So mental note: Dont install right below third brake light -- it's in the path of the wiper blade. :( I'll be ordering another one, and I'll offset it to the left or right...- BluPhant
