Lucas synthetic oil
I used the Fram extra guard filter (the more expensive one) years ago with no issues. Haven't used them in many years now. I was using the Purolator Gold filter for a while with no issues. I have also used the MOPAR filters when the KJ was new as I had some. Also used the NAPA Gold one...- Dave

I have been using the "Valvoline full synthetic" with no issues for a while. I have used other "synthetic" labeled oils though. I have a case of NAPA 5w30 "synthetic" they had on sale a while back but haven't started using it yet. It doesn't say "blend" on it. It is the first time I have...- Dave

I think they have to label the oil properly so if it says "synthetic" it must be that, and there are required specifications for it to qualify to be labeled "synthetic" . Some oils say "full synthetic" on the label too. If the oil is a mix of synthetic and dino, it should say "blend or blended"...- Dave

Yeah, mine is an "outside Jeep"....LOL. It stays outside except when the weather dude says we are getting a storm, and then it gets to go in the garage and sleep for the night so I don't have to shovel it off and it is not in the way of the sno-blower. Then it comes out and stays out and plays...- Dave

Unbelievable corrosion on 2008 Jeep Liberty Front Axles
Wow, that's a lot of rust. My KJ is 12 years old and not like that. I have never seen rust that bad and confined to one area too. (the rotor looks ok)There should be a recall if there are many like that. Keep photos/records, etc in case of a recall at a later date to help get reimbursement. Dave- Dave
