Mystery noise...need troubleshooting help
Mine was the front bearings. Swapped out the front ABS hubs and had blissful silence again (and it got rid of the ABS caution light on the dash).- Slugger103

Stats for my trip.... 2004 Jeep KJ Limited 3.7L Miles traveled: 2524 Gallons of fuel: 128.221 MPG average for trip (city & highway driving): 19.7 MPG (this coincided with the MPG estimate shown on my overhead console display) Average gas price for whole trip: $2.79 per gallon (4/13-4/26)...- Slugger103

2524 miles...
Well, just completed a 2,524 mile 2 week trip in my 2004 KJ that had 211K miles on her before the trip. One failure - I had to replace one of the ignition coils that failed halfway into the trip. Other than that, it was a great trip in the old girl! The Jeep KJ's keep on going!- Slugger103

OK...working on replacing most parts up front. I'm on the passenger side and removed the CV and the intermediate shaft came out with it. Elsewhere on this board are links to the service manuals for your year of KJ/KK. For my '04 it's on page 24-25 and gives a complete breakdown on how to remove & install that unit. Replace stock suspension with ???
No...NOT OEM stock. Will probably do the 925/947's & call it a day. Was there anything else I should consider replacing at the same time as the springs/shocks? I already have replacement jounce stops that sit inside at the top rear spring isolators. Thanks for your suggestions TOMMUDD!- Slugger103
