ARB front bumper, got it 14 years ago from 4 wheel parts($600 back then).

Cool, thanks. I have a front hitch on right now and the winch on a cradle to put front and back as needed, but would like something like you got there. I'll look it up. Thanks again.

B&G does stock+ reflashes for the KJ's and once you go past the CAI/TB/Catback level they'll do rolling tunes - there's some gains in it between 2200 and 4400 - roughly 25 ft lbs at any point along that curve and it gets rid of the torque drop at 4150 that was a result of the stock torque management kicking in

i built mine only for the purpose of the rebuild, and learning about the motor - if i had done it for the purpose of juiced up power yields i would have done an engine swap - it cost me about the same

It's a Jeep... not a Corvette. Drive it as it was meant to be driven.

Some cars/engines lend themselves well to modifying, there is room for improvement. The Chrysler engineers did a pretty good job getting the most out of the 3.7L without overbuilding or over-spec'ing the engine for it's intended purpose.

If you bought a KJ to go fast, you bought the wrong vehicle. If you think it's under-powered, trade it in for a Grand Cherokee with an HO engine.

Hard to beat a ARB front bumper
Got mine leass than 6 months after I bought the 04 new.
After hitting 4 different Deer at highway speed, a Toyota Camry ( that had to be towed away, ) a GMC 3/4 ton pickup it was still in great shape. They save you money every day you have them! LOL

No won't bolt up afterwards
Never was hurt at all
The 4 deer were on 2 lane road near where I grew up just like hitting a speed bump, stop back up, finish killing them, call the Law and take em home ha ha
Toyota pulled out in front of me, I was doing about 40-45 in town, legal speed , then the guy just stopped dead. Police seen it all and gave the guy all kinds of H ! :Insane:

You don't want to know what I've hit with my ARB,heck just recently my rear gas tank skid and rear Riddler diff cover totaled a civic(took the whole top of the motor off).

Buy a sports car..it's a jeep. They're slow for a reason..so you can enjoy the scenery when you take it offroad

They don't have the acceleration my Cherokee had stock. This V6 just doesn't do as good at getting a move on as that straight 6 did. Sometimes I wish I could just swap it out for the straight 6.

XJ's weighed about 3200-3400lbs and the KJ starts at 4000lbs and goes up to 4300lbs(CRD's).Take that same 4slow and put it in a WJ and now you'd think the KJ is a sports car since a WJ with that engine can't even get out of it's own way trying to move a 4200lbs Jeep.

Besides that 4slow is not even worth hauling to the junkyard for scrap.

Having owned 3 XJs I bought new, ran up into the 250,000 mile range, I'll take the 3.7 over them any day of the week.
