of course it looks like a head gasket to them, that is more money in their pocket.

one would think you would have other signs of head gasket issues, if that were the case.

good luck, and if they say head gasket, get a second opinion.

Check the oil see if it milky or foamy. Then it could be a blown head gasket.

Just got off the phone- water pump. Also, he says the original radiator cap is not holding proper pressure. So, $100 deductible for the water pump replacement and $25.00 for a new radiator cap- cap is not under warranty.

$25.00 for a radiator cap!?!?!?!?!

He called me back late yesterday and said that they are also replacing the radiator... So, that's the water pump, radiator and radiator cap. Supposed to be completed today.

Yep, you called it all right! At least when they're done I should not have to worry about the radiator, radiator cap and water pump for a good while!

Looks good. Interesting cap..doesn't look OEM.

Another nice thing- it looks like they replaced the serpentine belt. It is brand new, no cracks or wear. Unless they cleaned it specifically... ;-P

When ever you release the tension from a serpentine belt it is recommended you replace it.

Dont think they would of cleaned a belt. It does look new.
