Hi buddys

I know the P/N of the Rancho and OME shocks (they're in the FAQ of the Lift Kit Discussion), but I still miss the Bilsteins shocks for 2.5'' lifts...

*UPDATE 2*: Maybe this information it's wrong

Front: Rancho RSX 17505 / OME N131 / Bilstein F4-BE5-D916-H0
Rear: Rancho RSX 17004 / OME N132L / Bilstein F4-BE5-6458-H7 or F4-BE5-2618-H0 or F4-BE5-2790-H0

Thanks :)

The front seems OK (F4-BE5-D916-H0), but the rears I'm looking for are Durango's (longer)... I found the 46mm F4-BE5-6538-(H0/H1)

2790-H0 is also for the Durango.

It was the longest one I could find. Specs I received from Bilstein Germany

BE5-2790 compressed length 393mm, extended length 634mm setting 1140/595 (0,52m/s)
BE5-6458 compressed length 371,5mm, extended length 601,5mm setting 1120/445 (0,52m/s)

I came up with F4-BE5-2618-HO quite a while back as an alternative for the RSX17004
F4-BE5-A702-HO is for the Dakota 4 wheel drive club cab , never researched it farther to see the difference

*UPDATE*: calbear was right, here is the source

Front: Rancho RSX 17505 / OME N131 / Bilstein F4-BE5-D916-H0
Rear: Rancho RSX 17004 / OME N132L / Bilstein F4-BE5-6458-H7

Thanks :)

I think Marlin has an error on his website stating 2790 is for stock. 2790-H0's extended and compressed lengths are longer tahn 6458-H5.

They both can be used on lifted vehicles. (also on non lifted but won't perform the best)

Tom,

For 2618-H0 I think it is exactly the same with 2790-H0 but Bilstein has a different ref. numbers for Durango and Dakota

I cannot say the best(because did not test others) but I use 2790H0s with OMEs for 2000 kms so far and no problems.

This involves my autobahn drive everyday (up to 150 km/h), conuntryroads, gravel road up to my house and offroad on slightly muddy trail.

This is what I was told repetedly - so I got a set of Bilstein

Would love to get my hands on those Bilstein front struts but allshocks.com said they were out of stock and had no idea when they would get anymore in. Sent an email to jeepinbyAl (as I don't want to order them only to be told they too are out) to see if they have any in stock, have yet to hear back. Any other sources you folks can provide for these struts would be appreciated.

I bought a set from whthunter in ebay.com, good price.

FWIW, I tracked down a pair of the Bilstein struts @ http://www.truckspring.com/suspension-parts/shocks/bilstein.aspx

Their site is a little screwy. If you click on the "add to cart" button for the struts the rear shocks are added to your cart and vise versa. Called them up and spoke to their webmaster about the issue. $94.74 each with free shipping. I joined this site to offer thanks for all of the info and expertise provided here. :happy160:

Are the Blisteins better than the OME shocks, or does everyone use them just cause they are cheaper?

having seen / installed / and rode in both OME and Bilstein I would rate them about the same. What was nice about the Rancho RSX line was they were a little firmer
