how do you mount a larger than stock spare tire?

hello.

i have 245/75R16 tires on my kj- and its quite obvious that i cant fit a 245.75R16 tire on the factory spare tire mount.

any ideas?

245/75/16 should fit perfectly fine. My 245/70/17 (same diameter) fit with room to spare (pun not intended lol). Don't need to flip it.

Flip it meaning rotate it 180deg...so the 1 stud is at the top and the 2 are at the bottom. Not needed unless you do like a 265/70/16 or something. Some people flip them to help with trailer hooking up, but I've never needed to do that.

I have 245 75 16 load c tires and they fit just fine
Glass opens perfectly. I wouldn't put anything much heavier on the stock carrier but that size should be no problem at all

It will get in the way trying to hook up my trailer but that is easily fixed by just opening the tailgate.

You can run a 245-75-16 stock , I have a 265-70-16 on the back of mine and no issues
Or like was mentioned just flip the carrier upside down, 5 minute job
