Just sold my last two Chero's...sniff sniff

True CJ10's were 4x4 but export only. About all you see here are CJ10A tugs converted into trucks, most often using FSJ components.

My dream jeep is a FC170.

Those 70's Cherokee Chiefs were too cool

It's a CJ-8. Scrambler was a trim package, just like Renegade or Golden Eagle.
Not all CJ-8s are Scramblers.
No, CJ-8 is to Scrambler what KJ is to Liberty. All had the Scrambler badge.

There was the following trims:
Scrambler SR (equivalent to the Renegade)
Scrambler SL (equivalent to the Laredo)

And a base Scrambler.

friggin Chrysler is nutz not to put that thing out....(except that it would probably put a serious dent in Ram truck sales)....

It all goes to the same company, who cares if it takes a dent out of Ram sales. They're trying to push the new Power Wagon ram 2500 as a competitor for the Ford F150 SVT Raptor. It isn't. The Gladiator not only would compete in the same "stock off-road menace truck" segment, but would dominate price point wise. You're talking $40k for a Raptor, you'd be talking $30k at most for a Gladiator.

This thing needs to be built yesterday. My $.02 :D

The JK pickup wouldn't take sales from either the Dakota OR the Ram because Dakotas are all 5 or 6 passenger trucks, and Rams are fullsize.

There are other factors at play that we don't know about; Chrysler isn't as dumb as they look.

TBJ is absolutely right: the long-wheel-based jeep which added body length to the CJ7 was the CJ8. "Scrambler" was an appearance package for CJ8's. They were all CJ8's but only the ones with the scrambler appearance package could be called Scramblers.

The long-wheel-based jeep which added body length to the CJ5 was the CJ6.

They're dumber....

But seriously, it wouldn't steal any sales from anything. If you want a Jeep, you want a Jeep. If you don't, you don't. It would be more of a compliment to the Chrysler line up of trucks.

Those are nice. There was one down the road for sale that I kept meaning to stop and look at and all of a sudden it was gone. It was only there about a week.

Saw this at a car show in CT 3 yrs ago. I'd drive it - I think I can count on less than one hand the number of Jeepsters I've seen in my lifetime.

Even though I can appreciate the time and money spent on the Shaggy "Jeepster" restomod theme, not having the original gauges and steering wheel, takes away from the nostalgia, and feel of driving a classic Jeep.
