Opinion on Lift

What's up guys,

I've got a couple questions as I have zero experience with lifts..

So I recently got a 05 Liberty Sport 3.7L and of course, I'm wanting a lift. I found this combo by JBA Tommudd's Econo 3.5" Lift Kit I think it has a great combo of everything needed to get the lift I want, considering I didn't want anything more than 3", but hell, I can go to 3.5" :emotions34: Also, it has options for clevis spacers, and says the 0.375" spacer is the typical one people buy. Should I get this as well?

Thoughts on this? Is this worth the $1,400+? Should I add anything else to the list? If so, I don't mind saving up some money and getting it, but I don't want to spend that much on something that isn't a good combo of upgrades. Looking for good ride quality on/off road (not serious off roading). Thanks in advance !

So does this kit have everything I'll need to lift my Liberty or do I need to purchase more things?

I'll leave it to the pros, but I think you might need some hockey pucks for bumpstops. You could buy Al's, too.

This is the kit I hope to be getting soon. (Real soon, if Uncle Sam cheated me as much as I think he did.)

Ya looks like just add bump stops. 2 hockey pucks for the rear and terraflex extended for the front.

Several questions, first is which front springs are you going with?
If Ironman go with the .500 clevis, if OME go with the .375 onesYou also should get the teraflex front bumpstops, for the rear 2 hockey pucks per side bolted down to the spring perch work great.
Any questions let me know

There is only one size of the teraflex bumpstop
Then after you buy them cut a notch in the very bottom to clear the grease zerk if and when it hits

From personal experience with both OME and Ironman LONG TERM on my personal Jeeps, definitely go with the OME.

Better ride quality over time or do the parts have more durability? I plan to lift it whenever I get the money and would obviously like it to last the life of the vehicle or close to it.

OMEs seem to last a while longer , ride is the same basically between both
I've had my 04 (I bought new fall of 2004) lifted almost 200,000 miles now
first lift was a OME that I removed at 100,000 miles and swapped to another KJ , had another OME after that, an Ironman for a while ( with long term testing done on a friends KJ , still running it with no issues over 3 years later and still within 3/8 inch of where we sit it up that first day ) and now JBA coilovers.
Been playing with KJ lifts since very early 2005 and lifted a ton of them with Ironman, OME and the coilovers

With the clevis spacer being another half inch the JBA site says you get about 1" of lift, which would take me to 4.5" and then a little under after it settles, correct? Just don't want to have to repair major stuff since I have to spend so much on the lift let alone get new tires/wheels to make it proportional

4.5 inches would be way too high
No , with the Ironman you get 2.25 inches of lift, add a .500 spacers brings you to 3.25, add the 1/4 inch top plate and you'll be at 3.5-when settled in
Better would be the OME springs though with a .375 inch spacer, OME is seeming to last a bit longer (for some)

What tom said on all points. The Ironman/OME stay happy up until around 3.75" lift. After that you have alot of spring/arm contact.
