P0610 code plus ABS and Brake lights on

I’m showing a P0610 code with the ABS and brake light on. I’m also noticing that the gas mileage per gallon is decreasing (was 22 mpg a week ago now 15 according to the panel by the interior lights). Does anyone have any experience or advice with this situation?

That code is an issue with the PCM— The Power Control Module. It’s no longer recognizing something. Decreased fuel mileage can result from this.

Also, My vehicle is a 2005 Liberty CRD with 166,500 miles.
It’s a weird code which apparently means the car may be confused as to whether it has a manual or automatic transmission.

It’s a weird code which apparently means the car may be confused as to whether it has a manual or automatic transmission.

Sounds like the board has gone off. It’s possible to purchase a replacement PCM, but it needs to be flashed to your VIN and mileage. I’ve seen posts here where people get them off eBay.

Try a reboot, drop the battery leads overnight.
