First real test of the new gear. I was definitely thinking about how I was now responsible for some of the bolts keeping me bottom off the ground.

Sooo Much Daylight under the Jeep now. Sun reflecting off the ground illuminated the forward cross member yesterday and I’m like, “what’s that?”

No particular place to go. Walker Point Road, Siuslaw National Forest. Made it all the way to the top, only to be stopped by a gate.

Road trip later this week. I might see how far up the side of Mt. Hood I can go.

So this road I was on three weeks ago is now being used as a fire line. Dang.

Dang. Fifteen miles in, less than ten from my destination. No one has been through there in quite some time.

I drove that Outback for so long I forget that I have two more cylinders to play with. The old XJ could never push me back in the seat the way this one does.

Good thing I put all the time and money into the Jeep when I did this year, because now I have to replace my roof.

I’ve been remiss in posting this.

One of my led brake lights failed last month, putting date of death around 2023-03-09. So one year after installation, give or take a week. All the other led lamps I’ve put in continue to function.

Installed the engine skid plate yesterday, and the fuel tank plate today.
