Just got a carfax report on both of these. The 03 tells me its had 2 recalls and I dont see anything else.

The 2004 doesnt show me anything except that it was serviced at 2500km...does show up as just a sport though but you guys say its for sure a rocky mountain/freedom.

Thanks guys. Gonna take this 04 for a ride on Tuesday mornin.

The 2004 VIN number is just like a sport on the Rocky Mountain Edition. That 2004 RME is mine. When I got the plates it just came up as a Sport so the nice lady behind the counter gave me a weird look. Anyway, I would get the 04. It should give you more for your money since the 03 has 50K on 'er already. You could get lucky, however and get the old transmission or something in the 03 depending on the build date. But that is a picky decision to make. I do wish I had the old trans. btw. I think the different flares are just characteristics of the different year. that's my 2 cents.

So I was looking at dealers back home to compare prices. Back home they want $3000 less for a 2006 Liberty Sport than these guys here want for a 2004.

$4000 less back home for a 2005 Liberty Limited.

And they have the same miles!

Think I have a chance of talkin these guys down $5000-$6000 for the 2004 RME I have posted here?

I doubt it, what are they asking for all of these that you are talking about? It's weird that an '05 or '06 would be that much less than an '04 with the same miles. Regardless of trim level, that's alot of difference! Either there's something wrong with the '05 or '06 (doubtful), or the place with the '04 is jerking you around.

In Saskatoon (where I live now)
2003 Liberty RME $18,900 - 77,000km
2004 Liberty RME $22,800 - 23,000km

In Winnipeg (Where I came from)
2004 Jeep Liberty Limited $18,973 - 38,000km
2005 Jeep Liberty Limited $18,950 - 34,000km
2006 Jeep Liberty Sport $19,995 - 32,000km

Thats Canadian money as well. Cars are alot cheaper in the US. *****.

By the looks of that, the '05 Limited looks to be the best deal providing they are all comparable as far as miles, condition, etc. I don't know what that equates to in US dollars, but after rebates and such my '06 sport was about $19,000 USD NEW!

Yea, the sticker price on a new lib here is around $32,000.

Crazy how much more they are.

Anyhow, there isnt any way for me to get home to look at that 05 for a long time. So I'm gonna be stuck buying here. But the dealer doesnt have to know that:)

Still *****, I'm gonna end up spending $18,000 on this 04. I cant see him going lower than that. Probly not even that low.

So I just got back from the Jeep dealer, they sold the 2004 I wanted to look at so I ended up buying a 2006 Liberty Sport with 20,000km on it:D

Thanks guys!
