I had a wierd noise coming from the shifter this morning. I did the neutral shake before starting, and there was a noise I’ve never heard before. Turns out my sleeve was hitting the straws of the cups in the cupholders.

Later, I hit a rumble strip and heard a metallic noise coming from the t-case. Turns out that was just an empty pop can sitting on some screws in the cup holder. All is well, I guess :D

My Jeep marked its territory this morning while warming up.

Looks like maybe an inch or two of radiator coolant is missing from the reservoir. Hmmm.

It's not from the radiator itself or from the hoses, which are all new as of the fall. My guess is the water pump is starting to go out. The drip location is due to the leak being caught by the skid plate, then flowing downhill before dripping onto the pavement.

PLUS now the 05 thinks it has to have a new battery as well
Everything can sit , since 6-11 inches of snow heading this way tomorrow and both sitting in garages

Yeah. Not only is it going to be 11°F tomorrow, but I have all sorts of work stuff to do because it is the beginning of the spring semester. I think I am taking this one to my trusted mechanic.
Yes figured your spring semester started or would start soon.
Wife got back to the US Thursday evening, Friday was her first 3 classes , she was cutting it to close for me LOL

I’m smack dab in the middle of winter quarter. Can’t wait for spring term as traditionally it’s my lowest workload. I pity you traditional semester academics.

So it was a miserable day in the driveway thanks to last nights storm, but sure enough, found both front brake hoses are restricted because I mis routed them when I put in the lift. Thankfully my O’Reilly is open tomorrow and has both in stock.

I hate bleeding brakes. Hate. It.

Last two I replaced ( front brake hoses ) kept trying to get them and they just would not bleed out right
Filled it up , opened the bleeders, sat back, drank a beer, rechecked , topped it off and it was good !
Stupid things

Well does without ABS, but not sure with it if it makes any difference or not, never tried on one of new fangled machines LOL
Lol. We will find out Wednesday if it works with ABS. Fairly confident it will if one pulls the ABS circuit fuse and let it sit at idle for a bit before starting.

I replaced the engine air filter and had the oil changed.

I sorta kinda fixed the window regulator.... According to my door jam, my 06 jeep was built in March 2006, so I bought the window regulator for Jeeps built after 02/25/06.... Well, turns out my window is the design from before 02/25/06!! So I got the wrong part, and I didn't know it until I was installing. After installation, it still rolls up fully and rolls down only halfway. Not a big deal, and I'm too lazy to pull the part out and exchange. We'll see how long it lasts...

Waiting on parts. Been playing around with cardstock trying to recreate a scale model of the Liberator bumper. I suspect those dudes at Toledo got pretty creative. I’d bet they pulled at least part of the reinforcement bar to install the real deal.

However, I think I figured out how the finagled a winch in there.

Which I could find out what winch that used though.
