Gotcha so far. Does it matter specifically which front struts I use? FRONT SHOCKS ARE EITHER BILSTEIN OR OME , JUST STOCK LENGTH SHOCKS IN FRONT
What's wrong with the 265? Too wide for 7" rims? What about 255? 265 70 AND 255 70 ARE TOO WIDE WILL RUB AGAINST THE COIL SPRING IN FRONT, NOW ON A 8 INCH WHEEL WITH 5 INCHES OF BACKSPACING THEY DO NOT SINCE IT SPREADS THEM OUT
I flex tested the suspension in the current setup and the rear is definitely hitting the bump stops, but the front doesn't hit at all. Is that because of the spacers, why do I need new ones? DUE TO STOCK/OLD ONES BEING TOO SHORT
I checked my vin and here's what I found:
5-SPD AUTOMATIC 545RFE TRANSMISSION
LOCK-UP TORQUE CONVERTER SELEC-TRAC FULL TIME 4WD SYSTEM
TRAC-LOK DIFFERENTIAL REAR AXLE ;)
Differential is a 3.73; at what point do I have to regear? I've got 300lb Ft. of torque at 1800 rpm; driving isn't my concern, but my MPG is sure to go down. BIGGER TIRES PLUS TALLER/ HEAVIER WILL OF COURSE MAKE YOU LOSE POWER AND MILEAGE , I RUN 4.10S WITH 265 70 16S AND POWER AND MILEAGE ARE SAME AS STOCK
I'm new to the KJ community, mostly only studied the TJ; all my questions are for information, I'm not trying to argue ;-)

Started a simple blinker bulb change and discovered otherwise. Turns out I need to replace the socket.

Found the Mopar part

Autozone seems to have it for a more more reasonable price.

been sitting since it got a new battery.
need to do some rust mitigation before the plow season starts.
spray down the underside with some fluid film as well.
should really start getting it into plow mode, throw the studded snows on, and get an alignment done.

had several REALLY good rain storms here, wishing it was colder. $$$

My front driveshaft between the transfer case and the front diff just went. The only replacement that I found is from StandardGearUSA; the size is correct and the description matches, but the picture doesn't match. My shaft measures 20" weld-to-weld on the tubing. Should I ignore the picture and order it anyway? I haven't found any other replacements, and I need my Jeep back as soon as possible.

When you say 'went' do you mean the CV joint has failed? If so they are available and a really easy job to change, I did mine a while ago.

+1 on driveshaft parts.
ordered rebuilds for my front shaft from them. lunched it up, ordered more parts AND a front shaft just in case I couldn't fix my moronic mistake. more than agreeable pricing.
