What's that supposed to mean???? :chair:

That NJ, spent on the highway, ***** balls. Think that was pretty plain from my post.

I've been driving through from MD to CT since '91. My uncle lived in NJ from the mid-70s on. Friends of ours, the same. NJ still ***** balls. Your drivers are awful.

And you know what? You need to chill a little.

I was just joking around when I said that (hence the little emoticon). I agree with you there. In my opinion, PA is worse. But people in Jersey are nutcases on the road (as a generality). Mass is pretty crazy too.

I wasn't trying to throw anything back at you. Sorry. TBJ hit my buttons just right. I still stick to my guns on everything I said.

If it's any consolation, I liked driving through MD on my way down to and up from VA.

Thanks to less oppressive laws in Kentucky, ThunderbirdJunkie can stick to far superior guns than you.
Also, if you see KY as "flat", then you have done in KY exactly what you accused ThunderbirdJunkie of in only driving one of two roads through it. ThunderbirdJunkie has seen the good parts of NJ and it is still the armpit of America. Enjoy your crime rate and Gestapo-like LEOs and fascist government.

PM sent. Let's keep this discussion on topic.

Drove my Jeep to work today. Tonight I plan on checking out my tail light, because on of the filaments in one of the dual filament bulbs is out, and it's not the bulb.

06 KJ: Did a oil change, realigned my engine cradle after I got fresh deer meat, had alignment checked, sprayed out the floorboards and wiped down the inside. Self programmed a key for the wife. Wiped down my yellow springs to make super shiny. And found my vibe...passenger cv shaft (up down movement)

04 KJ: rear brakes and new plugs. Filled her up. A lot pep now!

Wife's WK: new plugs and took it for a detail cleaning while she got a message. Painting her key/fob hot pink. A lot of painting and clearing then wet sanding.

KY is actually really pretty. It'd be great if you guys got some real good snow down there though. There'd be some good skiing for sure. Ditto for TN...love Nashville but no snow. :( I need snow.

To stay on topic- dropped the KJ off to get the engine block heater installed, it's done but I'm picking it up tomorrow. And the WK, speaking of skiing, went on a mini ski trip. Did great in the snow! :flamingdevil:

Got my replacement LED all mounted and wired back up, these suckers are bright! Now I just need to finish installing my Cobra 75 WXST CB Radio and I'll be a happy camper.

Finally replaced the two back ABS sensors. All the lights cleared(ABS,ESP and one more I can't remember) after I drove it around the yard and down the lane. Say, could anyone direct me to the part number or size of bolts/rivets that hold the backing plates to the axle flange? Some of mine are rusted and the backing plate is loose.

Our drivers do suck I won't disagree with you there but PA and MD drivers are just as bad.

do what i did, drill out the old rivets and go straight through the axle flange and use a 1/4" stainless pan head bolt with prevailing torque nuts and lock washers on the backside...you will need to pull the axles to do this and i suggest doing one side at a time.

...Neighbor backs out of driveway into my drivers door...

On my old Tracker I was almost afraid to do anything in the way of maintenance beyond oil changes. Seems like every time I spent more than thirty bucks on her something bad happened. Some women are like that... :(

It'll get fixed, and good for you for taking good care of her. :favorites13:

People always have opinions about something they know nothing about. They probably haven't even been to NJ. I have family from Belmar.

Having driven in 47 of the lower 48 states I could tell you how and where I hate to drive, but I'll just say that the upper East Coast areas have "some" of the worst/inconsiderate drivers I've ran across. Now get back out on some of the back roads and people are more laid back, very friendly and will actually talk to you instead of flipping you off for no reason like in the more metro areas where it is dog eat dog . I gently nudged more than one car in and around Boston for example when people tried to force their way into line

47 of the lower 48 as well, and I would agree 100% with that statement. I did see some shockingly nice areas of NJ, down towards Vineland IIRC. I'll have to drag my wife out that way one day, once I get the jeep fully armored, lol.

I drove it around some forest roads in Southern Ohio to do some light off-roading while doing survey-related work. :) I think my new skid plates came in handy when I ran over that tree branch. lol
