Got my front springs compressed for my 3.5" lift. Got them home and everything back together just hand tight. Tomorrow is add some load to the front end and tighten it all up. Throw the tires on and off to the alignment shop. Can't wait to get her back on the ground!

On Friday, I noticed the front bumper and grill was so loose. I could lift the bumper up and down about 3 inches. Found that the guy who did the motor swap left out most of the bolts/screws. So Sunday after church, my son and I took everything off, and found what all was missing. At the same time, I had a 2" drop 2" square tube hitch laying around, so we mounted it as a recovery point. I plan on doing a second one and adding D rings to it. We re-installed the bumper with more hardware. It is all still a bit loose, but better than it was. I did not have enough hardware on hand to finish the job correctly. I'll be getting that stuff this weekend and finish it all up then. I didn't take pics, but will this weekend.

It is the original. I've changed the transfer case side. But now the diff side is banging around like a metal bouncy ball in room made with metal walls. Loud. Lol

Tightened up all the front end after getting all the lift in. Put the wheels on and limped over to the alignment shop. Man they steer like shit when the wheels are pointing at each other. Lol.

Which reminds me I need to shim the passenger side of my front bumper to stiffen it up just a bit. I did the driver side since it was a little floppy and making the fender flare wiggle a little. I just need to get a shim and do the passenger side.

Chrysler is making a new Jeep for me. It has no seats and no steering wheel. It's designed for the poor sap who has lost his ass and has nowhere to turn. :icon_sad:

Took apart the front suspension to install a couple of conduit nuts to level things out. Driver's side still 1/4" shorter than the passenger side - aarrrgh! Driver side sitting at 22.25", the passenger side is 22.50".

Followed up with an alignment and got things back in spec. Feels better - ride is more solid and smoother :waytogo:

Gonna be tearing it all apart again to get rid of rust and repaint everything. Dang this winter was tough on the Libby :shakehead:

Today, I was going to repair the rear defroster grid, I had damaged it when I took my paper plate off and didn't realize it until I used it. The rear window had sufficient clearance when turned on but drove me nuts all winter. Though unfortunately it was cold and raining so I didn't get the chance to do it. I will have to wait till Sunday if it warms up and doesn't rain to repair the grid for next winter to make sure its properly done the first time.

If either side is to be off, shoot for the drivers side to be a little higher to compensate for when your bucket is in the drivers seat. Driving closer to level down the street makes more sense than when it's sitting in the driveway.
