Got a flowmaster axle back dual exhaust! The worlds best Christmas Gift. Now all that is left to do is to install the exhaust tips once they arrive.

Installed new Kenwood KDC-X399 Bluetooth CD receiver in place of factory radio.....nice to be able to stream Pandora and make hands-free calls! Have replacement speakers on-hand but the OEM speakers are sounding suprisingly good for now so will wait for a nicer day to install them...

Hit a few little trails in the area and got it dirty. Nothing too strenuous, just a little playing in the slush, snow, and mud.

Then took it to the car wash and spent almost 20 minutes washing it with the power sprayer. A guy passing by gave me an odd look as I was lying on the ground spraying the undercarriage good.

Then I filled up the tank with $2.20 gas...hope it's as good as the expensive $3.00+ gas they used to have:emotions34:

I filled up with $1.89 gas. Filled the tank for $38; it felt like a Christmas miracle. :D

I honestly cant remember the last time gas was less than 2 bucks a gallon. Really hope prices stay low for a bit.

It was around $1.87 when GW left office in 2008. Just sayin'.

Paid $2.31 since all we have for the cheaper gas is Ethanol and I don't care for it. So I put in regular 87 Octane which is second cheapest. Ethanol blended is $1.98 in some spots here finally. Road tripped today, found also that there was rattling coming from the vanity mirror on the passenger side. Put a couple adhesive pads in between the cover and the mirror, now the noise is almost nonexistent. Tested the Aux Input for the audio, works great just hate having to turn up the volume even with the phone on max volume but it works.

Took the plunge and ordered a 4.10 front carrier from LKQ. I probably would never have considered re-gearing if I wasn't going to install a Truetrac in the rear as it seems to do fine with the 3.73's. But some kind of locker is a must here in the Nevada high desert and since the rear will be apart I might as well change gear.

I got all excited when I found one in Idaho for $175, but then found it had to be trucked, which cost almost as much as the part. Living in the boondocks has its disadvantages at times, but sure makes up for it when you can go wheeling right out your back door. :waytogo:

Yukon Cold headed our way by Monday night.
Added 94 octane & 2 bottles of gas line antifreeze with water remover to keep the Kj in prime shape.
I may even plug the block heater in for fun.
Now I have to dig out my warm jacket, boots & gloves, so I don't freeze.
Ahh.. maybe to heck with all of that...
I will just pull out the 12 year old scotch...that will guarantee me antifreeze protection!! :icon_lol:

Pulled a friend's Ford truck the final 20 feet up a driveway. His 4wd decided not to engage and he lost momentum just short of the top.
